Abstract

Inpatient services are patient services for observation, diagnosis, treatment, medical rehabilitation and other health care efforts by staying in a hospital. Kaliwates Hospital conducts an inpatient daily census which is used as the baseline for reporting hospitalization. This hospital in making inpatient reports is still manually calculated and the recapitulation results are processed using Microsoft Excel assistance. The purpose of this study was to design and create an inpatient information system for reporting using hospital service indicators at Kaliwates Hospital. The type of research used is qualitative research with data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The method used in this study is the waterfall method by Sommerville. The process of designing information systems uses a flowchart system, context diagrams, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams. programming language used by PHP with MySQL databases. The results of this study are an inpatient information system for reporting using hospital service indicators at Kaliwates Hospital that can produce an internal report output, namely inpatient service indicators, barber-Johnson charts, bed reports and hospital external reports namely indicator reports hospital services, reports on bed facilities, reports on inpatient service activities and reports on the top 10 diseases. The information system produced has three access rights namely admin or head of medical records, medical record officers and room attendants.
