Abstract

Hospital is a health care institution that organizes health care services in plenary and provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care. In the provision of health services there is a medical procedure, especially with high risk, require the consent of the patient is termed as informed consent. In the implementation of the informed consent process interwoven communication that occurs between doctor and patient. Through the initial activities of the evaluation, it was found on a standard operating procedure was not in accordance with regulation of health minister number 290 of 2008 on the approval of medical action, had never done an evaluation since it was first applied on 1 November 2010. In addition, the implementation of informed consent is still done by nurses that leads to a lack of efficiency in the process of communication is established with the patient. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of informed consent based on the standard operating procedure of informed consent in dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo hospital. The method used in this study is the evaluation CIPP method. Based on the results of this research is that the conduct of informed consent is often performed by a nurse, the implementation of informed consent has had a standard operating procedure, standart operating procedure of informed consent is not in accordance with the Health Minister Regulation 290 of 2008 on approval of the actions of medical and unfulfilled information that must be given to patients either requested or not requested. Advice can be given, implementation of informed consent is done by physicians coupled with punishment or reward for doctors who carry out directly or indirectly with need for a review of the standard operating procedure of informed consent refers to the Health Minister Regulation 290 of 2008 regardingon on the approval of medical actions.
