Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of extracts of plantain and fish emulsion to the development of (Phalaenopsis sp.). The study was, conducted in August 2015 to January 2016. at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture Polytechnic of Jember. Data from this study were analyzed using a randomized block design consisting of nine combinations. The first factoris plantain extract (P), which consists of concentration of 50 g/L (P1), 100 g/L (P2), and 150 g/L (P3) of plaint extracts. The second factor is the additonal of fish emulsion (E) consisting of concentration from 0 cc/L (E1), 2 cc/L (E2), and 4 cc/L (E3) plantain exstract. The media used is an alternative media with organic material. Parameter studies that observed among other plant's height, leaf number, leaf area, number of roots and root length. The results showed that treatment of plantain extract 50 g/L gives a better sense of the number of leaves, and number of roots . While on treatment 2 cc/L fish emulsion gives the best results on the parameters plant height, leaf number and number root . The media consists of plantain extract the concentration of 50 g/L and fish emulsion concentration 2 cc/L only gives a good result in the number of leaves, and number of roots.
