Abstract

Electrical energy in the village of Sumber Salak Ledok Ombo District Jember District can not be enjoyed by all villagers Sumber Salak, BPS data from Jember in the 2010 figures there are 122 homes that have not subscribed to electricity to PLN. If you see the condition of the abundance of water in the village of Sumber Salak Damar Wulan waterfall that can be used as a source of electrical energy. Needs studies related to the potential of water to build microhydro power plant (PLTMH). Therefore, this study aims to conduct a feasibility study of PLTMH both technical and non technical aspects. This research method is done by collecting primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by direct inquire or interviews to residents around the study site and to conduct measurements and direct observation at the study sites. Secondary data is obtained from literature and related institutions related to the research. Based on technical analysis of PLTMH according to the amount of power generated then the river of Sumber Salak Village is feasible as an alternative to microhydro power plant for both dry season and rainy season. The water flow of the Damar Wulan River River is 0.20 m3 / s capable of generating 16,730 kW of generating capacity with RAB of Rp 443,509,840, -. Economic analysis of NPV> 0, worth BCR> 1, said feasible. IRR 17%> 12% interest rate Bank Indonesia then the development of Micro Hydro Power Plant in Sumber Salak Village can be considered feasible.
