Abstract

A nursing record is the evidence of recording and reporting that owned by nurses in performing nursing care. Amount of incompleteness that found in Mawar’s room is >60%. The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation between attitude and knowledge of nurses. This research draws upon the analytic research with cross-sectional project. The population of this research is nurse in Mawar’s room that have 10 people as it’s sample. The process of data collecting is doing by questionnaire and checklist. Statistical test using Spearman Correlation test with α=0.05. It shows the significant correlation between knowledge and attitude of nurses with completeness of nursing record in Balung Jember Hospital. And the result of correlation score p=0.010 for the correlation between knowledge with completeness of nursing record. And also p=0.040 for the correlation between attitude with completeness of nursing record. The hospital stakeholder should giving training and seminars relating to medical record documentation, because a good comprehension will affect towards attitude and knowledge of nurses in Balung Jember Hospital.
