Abstract

Table manner has an important role in social intercourses, especially in doing a business. It is caused by almost of business is conducted over the course of meal. The manner at the table becomes the consideration of the business acquaintance in determining our manner. Hence, having good manner at the table is an obligation for international business people. Knowing well about table manner could help people feel easy and less nervousness when facing any kinds of equipment and dishes. In learning table manner knowledge, the appropriate material is needed. The writer chose video as a media learning because it could be delivering distinctively well compared to other media. The writer decided to make table manner video especially about equipment involved cutlery, chinaware, silverware, glassware, and linen. This report describes the process in making table manner video for international business people mainly equipment. To get further information related to table manner, the writer had visited some hotels in Jember. At the end, the writer decided to conduct table manner event in Safari Hotel and Restaurant for shooting needed. After taking shoot, the writer edited the video by using Windows Movie Maker and Stuplefix. During finishing this final project, the writer applied knowledge and skill that got from lecturing class included English for Hotel and Restaurant, Writing Skill and Pronunciation. There were some problems the writer faced; finding hotel as an object, finding table manner material and editing video by using movie maker. As the result, the writer gave the video to Safari Hotel and Restaurant to help the instructure in giving table manner material to the participants in easy and interesting way. After finishing this final project, the writer could make conclusion that there were some skills needed in making table manner video; table manner etiquette and editing video by using certain software.
