Abstract
The availability of fuel are running low no synergy with the development of motor vehicles is rapidly increasing, need for alternative fuels such as LPG(Liquid Petroleum Gas) gas fuel. This research aims to determine the performance the performance of the generator set when a modification using LPG fuel and gasoline and comparison RPM, power, and fuel consumption between LPG and gasoline. The result showed that the power generator with LPG fuel is greater than gasoline, and fuel consumption generator with LPG fuel is lower than gasoline. The result showed that gasoline generator set can use LPG as fuel with the largest sets RPM generator is 2940 RPM with LPG fuel and 2980 with gasoline. The power generator set largest located at 3600 watt load, with at 3397,83 watt with LPG and 3326,36 watt with gasoline. Fuel consumption generator sets at 1200 watt load, LPG as big as 0,27kg/30 minutes and gasoline as big as 0,48/30 minutes. At 2400 watt load, LPG as big as 0,33kg/30 minutes and gasoline 0,66kg/30 minutes. At 3600 watt load, LPG as big as 0,57kg/30 minutes and gasoline asa big as 0,84kg/30 minutes.
