Abstract

Unit of medical record one of them is assembling and filing unit. Medical record services activities such as borrowing, return and assembling and storage of inpatient medical records are conducted in both units. Problems that occur in the assembling and filing unit is in managing the inpatient medical records file is still done manually. Manual management, has many weaknesses, in addition to taking a long time, accuracy is also less acceptable, because the possibility of error is very large. In addition, medical record officers from both units are difficult to find and track the existence of medical record files when needed. Tracer application is still not optimal, there is still a refund and the incompleteness of the filing of medical records file. Filing officers have trouble choosing inactive files and hassles in monitoring medical record files that enter the filing room for ready storage. The purpose of this research is to design and make information system of assembling and filing unit of in-patient medical record at Dokter Mohamad Saleh Probolinggo Regional Public Hospital. The method used in this research is waterfall method with design which include Flowchart, Context Diagram (CD), Data Flow Diagram (DFD) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). The result of this research is information system of assembling and filing unit of inpatient medical records by giving easiness of officer in managing the file and tracking the existence of the in-patient medical record file either on the storage or borrowed rack, and also ease in making monthly and annual report.
