Abstract
Biogas this is a renewable energy source capable of meeting needs fue. The process production biogas can be method fermentation this is shape methane gas in anaerob condition or air tight so to produce methane gas. The biogas in this study comes from a mixture of cow dung and tofu detect with the addition of EM-4 starter, sugarcane drops and cow’s rumen liquid. This study to purpose determine the effect of addition of starter in the proces of biogas fermentation. The method to used by experiment method with parameter starts the produce gas, biogas voume produce, flame test, and biogas production rate. The results of this study of this study indicate the adition of starter can accelerate the accurrence of gas formation in the fermentation process. In addition the treatment starter drops of sugarcane the soonest to produce gas on the 2th day. The treatment with starter EM-4 produce gas on the 3th day solar gas and treatment with a cow rumen fluid starter produces gas the 4th day. While the treatment as a control produces gas on day 7.
