Abstract

Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) alredy known as one of estate crop that was increasing and decreasing productivity. It might be due to leak of superior planting material used in stake holders. Based on this isue, we need to know determination of optimal time to harvest and use of gibberelin acid a growth regulators that might be can overcome this problem. This research was conducted at Kaliwining experimen station of ICCRI on Dec 2016 – Feb 2017. Design of this research is Complete Randomize Design (RAL) which has factorial with two factors. First is optimal time to harvest, consist of: 4 month (K1), 5 month (K2), 6 month (K3). Second is soaking in gibberelin acid, consist of: without soaking (P0), 50 ppm (P1), 100 ppm (P2). The result shows time to harvest as 5 month (K2) has the highest in germination score 92% and speed of growth with score 10,62%/etmal. Soaking in gibberelin acid 50 ppm (P1) has the highest in simultanely growth with score 43%. The best interaction at combination as 5 month time to harvest and soaking in giberelin acid 50 ppm (K2P1) with the score of germination 92% and speed of growth 10,62 %/etmal.
