Abstract

This study aims to compare the fluid flow in Thorttle Body Butterfly with Butterfly Less, using SolidWorks floxspress simulation software. This research was carried out in the Automotive Drawing Laboratory of State Polytechnic of Jember. Furthermore, the results of the simulation are analyzed and compared the flow pattern and the flowing fluid velocity in the thorttle body. The simulation results showed the speed of the thoracic butterfly outlet outlet at valve opening 25% 43m / s, 50% 21m / s, 75% 38m / s, 100% 27m / s. Thorttle body butterfly less outlet velocity at valve opening 25% 35m / s, 50% 33m / s, 75% 36m / s, 100% 26m / s. The best alira types are at 25% and 100% valve openings in thorttle body butterfly and thorttle body butterfly less.
