Abstract
Kaliwates general hospital has medical record room width with the size of 56,08. The purpose of this study is to redesign the medical record unit workspace layout ergonomically. The type of this research is descriptive. The result of this study was to study modify the workspace of medical record unit in the old building of kaliwates General Hospital. In the medical record unit building was done an ergnomic arrangement adjusted to the medical record unit work system. The wrok system component of medical record consisit of : workspace arrangment based on the medical’s staff flow; the medicl record room width : facilitase and infrstructure included equipment,tools,and phsiycal enivorement of the workplace. The components of the work system was set using the techniques and principles of engineering procedures to obtain the best dreft (design) from the work system. The new building of medical records unit was divided into 5(five) part of workspace: there are the medical records unit headroom : the satff of assembling,coding,indexing,and data entry workspace, filling and the active filling stroge room,the reporting section,waiting room,and toilet. By using this workspace layout design from medical records unit, would fulfill the aspect of efficient, health, security, safety, and comfort for the efficerg and the medical records files.
