Abstract

Classification is a algorithm that is able to group and object based on the characteristics of the object. Through the classification process can be known groups from the new data. One of method that can be used to do the classification process is a Naïve Bayes method. Naïve Bayes method is the one of machine learning method which use probability calculation and simple statistics. Chili quality classification system is a system that can be used to do the classification of chili quality with Naïve Bayes method. The initial stage before doing the classification process is to do the image processing with the stage of image acquisition, image analysis, cropping, color convertion, thresholding, morphological operations, feature extraction. The result of feature extraction will used as input for classification process. The classification process is based on SNI 01-4480-1998 where input is the value of feature extraction, i.e area, perimeter, diameter, and length. The result of classification process used the Naïve Bayes method is 86,6%. This show that Naïve Bayes method is quite good in classifying chili quality.
