Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of harvest time delay until entering to bin dryer toward quality of sweet corn seed SC 28 (Zea mays L. Saccarata stump). This research was conducted at PT. East West Seed Indonesia in September to October 2018. This research was applied Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) non factorial with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments were : 2 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P1), 5 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P2), 10 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P3), and 24 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P4). The result of this research shows that the effect of harvest time delay is significant toward quality of sweet corn seed. treatment of 2 hours delai before entering to Bin Dryer (P1) influence good quality of seed on parameter viability and growth simultaneously. Treatment of 5 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P2) has the highest value on growth speed however it is non significant on 2 hours delay before entering to Bin Dryer (P1). Whereas, the initial moisture content is signficant on unstable decreasing of moisture content that can affect the seed quality.
