Abstract

The efforts to cultivating vegetables often has some barriers. One of the most common barrier is about how to determine the suitable field for every type of vegetables, because the compatibality of the field has an important point in growing vegetables. Productivity of vegetables depend on the quality of field will be use. The farmers still used the old way or "trial and error" to determine the compatible field for every type of vegetable. But, this technique was not efficient because it took a long time and lot of cost to make it work, the results are not always as successful as hoped. This is influenced by the lack of knowledge and understanding of farmers on land characteristics to be processed and the type of vegetable that match those lands, as well as the difficulty of getting the right data about the characteristics of the land. Based on the above problems then be made " Selection Decision Support System Based Hortikutura Regional Conditions Method Using K-NN". This system is used to give some easiness to the farmers to reduce failure during harvest.
