Abstract

Demand for Internet access is now very large, either to find information, new knowledge, downloading and uploading a file or just bersosial media. To do it all, sufficient bandwidth is needed. The impact of the increasing number of internet users today is the disabling of optimalan bandwidth usage and internet access simultaneously with the bandwidth provided to the public network bandwidth will get uneven. And the use of excessive bandwidth management because there is no set, causing internet spending will increase. Bandwidth is the large size of the data or information in an internet network. It required a bandwidth management. In this case the author uses a hierarchical method Token Bucket (HTB) to manage the bandwidth. And the author also tries to do research that is applying it to the network Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) based MikroTik. VLAN is a network model that is not limited to a physical location such as a LAN, this has resulted in a virtual network can be configured without having to comply with the physical location of the equipment
