Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence demand for egg’s layer in Bondowoso District.The research method used descriptive analysis with the sampling method used is purposive sampling with a sample of 70 respondents. The data obtained were processed using multiple linear regression analysis on SPSS. The results of multiple linear regression analysis produce the following equation  Y = 13.424 - 1,457 - 0,268 + 0,235-0,140 + 1,360. The results showed that partially the price of broiler eggs (X1) affected the demand for broiler eggs (0.021), the price of broiler chicken meat (X2) did not affect the demand for broiler eggs (0.451), income (X3) affected the demand for chicken eggs ras (0.007), the number of family members (X4) has no effect on demand for purebred eggs (0.525), and taste (X5) has an effect on demand for purebred eggs (0,000). The test results simultaneously show a significance value of 0,000 which means that all independent variables (X) simultaneously affect the dependent variable (Y) with a coefficient of determination (R) of 57.7%.
