Abstract

The Special Service Tool is a special device used by mechanics as a support tool in working or repairing an automotive component that requires a specific method, one of which is the Impact wrench, Impact Wrench or RPM Impact is a tool that functions to speed up the process of opening nuts and bolts, whether it's wheel nuts, under steel bolts, body chassis fastening bolts, and so on. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of drum brake cleaner on brake pads. The results of this study indicate that the rotation of the Impact Wrench greatly affects the level of cleanliness, at 2600 RPM shows cleaner brake pads. The results of customer satisfaction in cleaning brake pads and drum are more satisfied with using the Special Service Tool media with a value of 70% of 10 customers, and cleaning brake pads and drum using sandpaper media are satisfied with a value of 30% of 10 customers. So it can be concluded that the use of Special Service Tools saves time and effort in cleaning drum brake pads. Keywords : RPM Impact, Special Service Tool, Drum Brake
