Abstract

Planting using hydroponics system at this time become very popular because of productive agricultural land is getting narrower. Vegetables is one component in the diet that can not be abandoned. Mustard is one type of leaf vegetable that is popular with the public because it tastes fresh and contains vitamins A, B, and a little vitamin C. Plants grown by means of hydroponics, in principle, should not be short of water (Prasasti, 2008: 19). This is the rationale for designing the moisture content and humidity settings that can be applied automatically in the hydroponic cultivation. To determine the moisture content of the water and the planting medium is then used a humidity sensor or sensor which is better known as the Soil Moisture Sensor.
