Abstract

This Research had a purpose to know the effect of planting method and SIPLO technology application to production and quality of gorontalo variety rice seed at Bondowoso district. This research was held for 4 months from November 2015 until March 2016. All activities was held at land research and Seed Technology Laboratory of State Polytechnic of Jember. This research was conducted by factorial Randomized Block Design with 6 combinations and 4 replications. M factor was Block Planting Method (10 cm x 10 cm), Jajar Legowo Planting Method 2:1 (M2), Jajar Legowo Planting Method 4:1 (M3), and S factor was Siplo Technology Application (S1) and without Siplo Technology Application (S2). The data was analyzed by using ANOVA and would be tested continuesly by using DMRT 5% levels and BNT Test 5% levels. The research result showed that planting method treatment and siplo technology application together gave not significant effect (ns) to plant height, tillers total, tassel length, 1000 seeds weight, production each hectare, germination capacity, growth simultaneity and growth speed. While personally M factor gave very significant effect (**) to tillers total and production each hectare, then S factor gave very significant effect (**) to tassel length, fulfilled rice total and production each hectare.
