Abstract
Coffee is one of plantation crops that has long been cultivated, coffee has become a mainstay commodity for exports and a source of foreign exchange income for the country. However, Coffee commodity prices often fluctuate as a result of an imbalance between demand and supply of coffee on world markets. This research aims to determine the effect of application interval of coffe roots PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) in various composition of planting media on growth of robusta coffee seeds (Coffea canephora Pierre Ex A Froehner). This research was conducted at research field of State Polytechnic of Jember in Octber 2018 to February 2019. It was using Randomized Complete Block Design with 2 factors and 4 replications. the first factor was M1P1 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:1:1) + Application interval 1 week),M1P2 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:1:1) + Application interval 2 weeks), M2P1 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (2:1:1) + Application interval 1 weeks), M2P2 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (2:1:1) + Application interval 2 weeks), M3P1 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:2:1) + Application interval 1 weeks), M3P2 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:2:1) + Application interval 2 weeks), M4P1 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:1:2) + Application interval 1 weeks), dan M4P2 (Topsoil : Sand : Compost (1:1:2) + Application interval 2 weeks). The parameters were Height of plant, number of leaves, diameter of stem, lenght of root, volume of root, fresh weight of root, and dry weight of root. The results show that composition of planting media is significant effect on height of plant, whereas the interaction between composition of planting media and application interval of PGPR is significant effect on lenght of root
