Abstract
The business of bamboo matting owned by Ms. Gini is a home industry that is engaged in handicrafts, the products produced are “tompo”, fans and “kukusan” which are household and industrial equipment. This business began in 1960, but the development of this business has not yet been seen, so it requires owners to create appropriate business development strategy concepts in order to encourage growth and development. This study aims to find out (1) What factors are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for Ms. Gini's bamboo plaiting business, (2) What is the right strategy in developing Ms. Gini's bamboo matting business, (3) priority strategy in developing the business of bamboo matting owned by Ms. Gini. The data processing and analysis methods used are SWOT Analysis, which includes IFE, EFE, then developed using I-E Matrix Analysis and SWOT Matrix, as well as determining priority strategies using QSPM Analysis. Based on the SWOT and QSPM analysis, it was obtained that one alternative that could be prioritized by this home industry was to innovate on good quality bamboo woven products with the largest total TAS 6,923.
