Abstract

PDP Gunung Pasang is one of the Regional Government-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of Jember Regency which is engaged in rubber latex agribusiness. The activities at PDP Gunung Pasang Company cannot be separated from the use of tools, machines, and hazardous chemicals, therefore, the company implements an occupational safety and health program for the employees. The purpose of this research is to analyze and test the effect simultaneously and also partially of Occupational Safety (X1) and Occupational Health (X2) variables on Employee Performance (Y), and to find out the variables that have the dominant influence on Employee Performance (Y) at PDP Gunung Pasang. The data collection methods used in this research were observation, questionnaires, and literature studies, while the samples taken were 56 respondents. The analysis techniques used in this study were multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, F test, and t test using the SPSS 16.0 for windows application. The results showed that: (1) simultaneously Occupational Safety (X1) and Occupational Health (X2) had a significant effect on Employee Performance (Y); (2) partially Occupational Safety (X1) had a significant effect on Employee Performance (Y) and Occupational Health (X2) had no significant effect on Employee Performance (Y); (3) variables that had a dominant influence on Employee Performance (Y) was Occupational Safety (X1).
