Abstract

Guava fruit is a plant that grows well in the tropics, the fruit can be found in almost all regions of Indonesia and the relatively cheap price. Fruit guava contains 5.60 grams of fiber. The content of Vitamin C, A, B complex, fiber and many other minerals needed by the body. Guava can lower total cholesterol levels thus preventing hypercholesterolemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guajava juice on levels of total cholesterol swiss webster mice (Mus musculus L) hypercholesterolemia. The study used was a laboratory experimental research. Design used control group pretest-posttest design. Research design used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and each treatment level using 6 mice.
