Abstract
Management of medical records in health centers to support the achievement of orderly administration in an effort to achieve the goal of health centers, namely improving the quality of health services in health centers. Management of medical record consists of several subsystems are assembling, coding, Indexing, filing, retention and destruction. Medical record management Arjasa Jember Health Center uses the policy of the District Health Office of Jember and it should be reviewed if it is in accordance with the standard. The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of medical records by FOCUS PDCA in health centers of Arjasa Jember. This research use traditional qualitative methods of FOCUS PDCA. Based on this study showed that there is still a lack of human resources, training and infrastructure in work supporting medical records management officer in health centers of Arjasa Jember. In the process of assembling its management, Indexing, and destruction is not done, the coding is not guided by the ICD-10 and ICD-9 CM, as well as the storage system is inconsistent. Management of medical records should be set in accordance with the standards, so it will produce an outcome in which medical records can be used as quality information and improve the quality of services in health centers Arjasa Jember.
