Abstract
Patients in the hospital PTP N X (Persero) Jember that every year more and menigkat that in 2011 the number of patients: 47 305 patients, 2012: 62 414 patients in 2013: 76 326 patients, 2014: 83 590 and in 2015: 86 827 patients. This would result in the number of medical record file is stored is increasing, with increasing medical record file will affect the shelf needs to be used. The purpose of this research is to know the number of racks required for storing medical record file 5 years to come. This research uses descriptive method carried out in the month of July with a population of 86 827 medical record file and medical record file 378 samples consisting of 345 medical records of outpatient and 31 inpatient medical record file. The technique of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. From the observations show that this hospital has two rooms and 9 shelves with varying sizes. Based on the calculation of medical record file rack for 5 years to come at the Hospital PTP N X (Persero) Jember requires 11 rack. Suggestions for hospitals namely in order to improve the quality of medical records, it is necessary to add 24 racks jedis Roll'O Pack, and there should be the implementation of the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for the storage of medical record file
