Abstract

One of methods to detecting conditions of seed in stored is a quality testing on a regular basis.Testing the quality of germination seeds that normally is laboratorium test. Testing in laboratorium have optimum conditios, so seed can have optimum germination. To find out the conditin of germination seed in field, it is necessary to do quality testing to seed in periodic. accelarated agging is one of methods to seed’s vigor testing, which have principle as simulator field condition. This study was carried on September-desember in 2016 at laboratory of PT.Benih Citra Asia which placed at Akmaludin street in Ajung, Jember. Design of this research is Complete Random Design (RAL) which has factorial with two factors. First is period of stored, consist of: 60month, 58months, 56months,53months, 51months, 48months, 47months, 46months, 45months, 44months. Second is accelarated agging, consist of: using hot water 60ºC in 5 minutes, Methanol 20% in 2 hours and temperature test at 41ºC and RH 100%. The result shows accelerated agging methods use temperature test at 41ºC and RH 100% is most effective to determine for seed vigor testing.
