Abstract

Registration centers of patients is the main gateway of health care at a hospital. Registration conditions were very crowded by the patient and the distance between registration centers and medical records space was just ± 150m, that was can lead the quickly service will be hampered. The purpose of this research is to design a layout medical record unit in dr Mohamad Saleh, RSUD Probolinggo, to support the administrative services quickly and accurately. The kind of this research is qualitative research.The result of this research is the form of the medical record unit design space with working conditions that include width of medical record space is 102m2 and width of registration space is 36m2. An appropriate temperature room is 22ºC-27 ºC. Glass ventilation width is 15.3 m2 . Lighting used is 80 watts TL lamps and an index lighting is 105.88 Lux, which are in accordance with established standards. The layout of the medical records and the registration is short distance. The spatial of inpatient medical records unit is adapted to the workflow of medical record file management. Facilities and infrastructure in the medical record work unit is a table, chairs, air conditioning, roll o'pack, stationery, file cabinets, computer and printer. Measurement of body dimensions is based on the theory of anthropometry that obtained and applied to design work chair and work desk of employee in inpatient medical records work unit.
