Abstract

Intake fiber very significant impact on diabetes melitus type 2 and nutrition status in measuring instrument from RLPP to determine nutrition status of diabetes melitus type 2 patients. The research goals was to analyze the realitionship between intake of fiber and nutritional status on the incidence of diabetes melitus type 2 in ourpatien kaliwates general hospital in jember . Instruments of data collection with uses the (SQFFQ) from half quantitative food frequency and metlin. Responden are 52 ourpatien diabetes melitus type 2 result of analysis using Chi Square showed no relationship between intake fiber and diabetes melitus type 2 between intake fiber and diabetes melitus type 2 ( p = 0,101 ). There is no relationship between nutritional status and the incidence diabetes melitus type 2 (p=0,158). Conclusion of the study all variable intake of fiber and nutritional status was not associated with diabetes melitus type 2.
