Abstract

Eggs with average weight or medium weight would be hatch better than the eggs were had very small size and very large size. Vitamin B9 or folic acid is a vitamin that is necessary for replication and cell growth, metabolism of amino acids, and the synthesis of nucleic. The purpose of this study was to determining the effect of the egg weight and spraying vitamin B complex to the result of the hatching peking duck egg. Parameters measured including mortality, hatchability, and the weight of the hatching. The experimental design that used was completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 33 treatments and 2 repeatations. The treatment consisted of two factors those were the eggs weight there are 11 levels of 65 gram (B1), 66 gram (B2), 67 gram (B3), 68 gram (B4), 69 gram (B5), 70 gram (B6), 71 gram (B7), 72 gram (B8), 73 gram (B9), 74 gram (B10), 75 gram (B11). The second factor is spraying vitamin B complex there are 3 levels of spraying without vitamin B complex (V0), vitamin B complex 3 gram (V1), vitamin B complex 6 gram (V2). Based on the statistical analysis, the influenced of egg weight and spraying vitamin B complex had no significant effect for mortality, hatchability, hatching weight. In conclusion, the use of vitamin B complex up to 6 gram of dose had not maximum effect yet.
