Abstract

Many systems have been introduced to improve healthcare services and enhance information management, one of which is media conversion. Patient medical records are transitioning to digital-based as hospitals need to leverage technological advancements to enhance service quality and remain competitive. One crucial aspect to consider in improving service quality is the processing of patient medical records. At the Balung Jember Regional General Hospital, patient records are still paper-based for data collection. Patients fill out a form on paper which is then stored as hospital files. This method can pose several challenges for medical record staff, such as incomplete data, files being easily lost, and an increasing number of patients leading to file accumulation in archives. Therefore, the hospital needs a medical record filing application or media conversion to enhance healthcare services and improve the management of medical records. The result of this study is a web-based electronic medical record media conversion application processed by the filing department admin and super admin who have different access rights to process patient data and medical records. The system underwent testing using Blackbox Testing to validate the application's interface functionalities and verify the input and output results of the system in operation.
