Abstract
The electrical system in commercial vehicles such as the Isuzu NQR 81 medium bus plays a crucial role in supporting passenger comfort and safety, particularly through the audio system, which requires a stable voltage supply. However, voltage fluctuations caused by load changes and alternator conditions can disrupt the performance and reduce the lifespan of electronic components. This study aims to design and develop a voltage stabilizer capable of maintaining stable 24 V for power supply and 12 V for the audio system in the bus. The research method used is experimental, involving the design, assembly, and testing of a stabilizer device utilizing the LM25116 buck converter module and electrolytic capacitors as key components. The test results show that the designed stabilizer effectively maintains output voltage within the specified tolerance ranges, both when the engine is off and running. The 24 V output for power remains within the range of 23.5–27.6 V, while the 12 V output for the audio system remains stable at 12.0–12.6 V. All audio components functioned properly and were protected from voltage fluctuations. Therefore, the stabilizer device proves to be effective in enhancing the reliability of the vehicle’s electrical system, particularly in ensuring the performance of the audio system.
