Abstract

The Home Industry Mak Yem in Nganjuk faced issues with suboptimal management of raw material inventory, leading to stock imbalances and increased inventory costs. This study aimed to analyze inventory management using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine the optimal order quantity, Safety stock, and Reorder Point to improve production efficiency. The results of the study showed that the implementation of EOQ reduced total inventory costs from Rp 8.190.000 to Rp 4.724.700, saving Rp 3.465.300 or 42%, and determined the optimal Safety stock at 2.640 kg and the Reorder Point at 2.711 kg. In conclusion, the EOQ method proved to be more effective in controlling inventory, reducing order frequency, lowering costs, and ensuring smooth fried shallot production in the Home Industry Mak Yem.
