Abstract

Senior high school students often face difficulties in deciding whether to continue their studies at university or enter the workforce directly. To assist them, this research aims to develop an Android-based application that helps students identify their interests in choosing a career or continuing education, using the Forward Chaining method. The application works by processing the answers provided by users, where each answer will affect the recommendations given, ensuring they align with the user’s interests and potential. This application is designed with an easy-to-use interface, accessible to students. To ensure the application works properly, Black box testing was conducted to verify its functionality, along with User Acceptance Test (UAT) to ensure the application is well-received and meets user needs. The test Results show that the application can provide recommendations with an Accuracy rate of 97% and functions well as expected by users. This application is expected to help students make the best choice for their future.
