Abstract
This study aims to analyze the performance of a single-phase AC motor on a coconut grating machine in small industries. The use of a single-phase AC motor is expected to improve time efficiency and the quality of grated coconut compared to the manual method. The research methods used include the measurement of motor rotation speed, electric current consumption, and analysis of motor torque and power when the machine operates with various loads. The results show that the single-phase AC motor has stable and efficient performance, with consistent rotation speed and electric current consumption under various load conditions. Additionally, the coconut grating machine using this motor can increase the efficiency of grating time and produce grated coconut of good quality. Based on these results, it is recommended to optimize the machine design and conduct further testing in various environmental conditions to ensure optimal performance in different situations.
