Abstract

The level of congestion in Indonesia is very high, especially in big cities, one of which is Malang. Due to the rapid increase in the number of vehicles, the volume of vehicle traffic on the highway is increasing. Conversely, inadequate road width results in road congestion, especially in urban areas to monitor the level of congestion on certain road sections can utilize CCTV. This research aims to detect motor vehicle congestion automatically using the YOLO method. This method detects objects in real-time with high accuracy. This process starts from collecting data in the form of images or videos of vehicles, training the YOLO model, and implementing the system to classify the level of congestion based on the number of vehicles detected. The test results show that the system can detect vehicles with good accuracy and identify congestion at red light intersections automatically.
