Abstract

The provision of food assistance is one of the government’s efforts to reduce the expenditure burden on underprivileged communities by distributing rice to Beneficiary Families (KPM). However, the distribution process is still carried out manually without systematic selection, which has the potential to result in mistargeted assistance. Therefore, this study proposes the design of a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine the eligibility of rice food assistance recipients using the Weighted Product (WP) method. The system is designed based on 9 supporting criteria to generate rankings and is tested using 1,205 community data records, consisting of 400 recipients and 805 non-recipients in Bondowoso District. The test results show that the developed system has an accuracy rate of 60%, indicating that the application of the method in this study holds considerable potential as a solution for providing recommendations for prospective rice food assistance recipients. The application is considered very user-friendly and wellaccepted by users, as evidenced by the results of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT), which achieved a score of 93.3%.
