Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the response of bean sprouts extract and the combination of growing media on the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.). This research was conducted on private land in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province and was conducted on September 5, 2020 to December 5, 2020. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two factors. The first factor consisted of 3 levels, namely T0 = 0% / L water, T1 = 15% / L water, and T2 = 30% / L water, while the second factor consists of 4 levels, namely M1: 1: 1: 1 (top soil + manure + sand), M2: 2: 1: 1 (top soil + manure + sand), M3: 1: 2: 1 (top soil + manure + sand), and M4: 1: 1: 2 (top soil + manure + sand). The data obtained from the research results were analyzed using ANOVA and then further tested using the BNJ level of 5%. The parameters observed in this study were live presentation, shoot height, number of internodes, number of leaves and root wet weight. The research results showed that the effect of the bean sprouts extract combination was not significantly different in all parameters whill the effect of a single media combination was only significantly different in the number of segments parameter aged 6 MST.
