Abstract
The case of Carcinoma Mammae at Baladhika Husada Hospital Jember has been the first ranked case for the last 5 years, as many as 2,663 cases in 2023 which are dominated by inpatients. The purpose of this study is to analyze risk factors related to the incidence of Carcinoma Mammae (C50) based on inpatient medical records at Baladhika Husada Hospital, Jember. This type of observational research with a case control approach uses secondary data. The research sample consisted of 120 case samples (carcinoma mammae) and 120 control samples (no carcinoma mammae), which were selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with chi-square test. The results of the identification of risk factors for respondents were 63.3% >50 years old; 80% are female; 56.3% are overweight/obese; 93.3% have no family history; and 83% had no previous history of breast disease. The results of the chi-square test showed a relationship between overweight/obesity factors (p-value = 0.004; OR= 2.767), family history (p-value= 0.001; OR= 17,000), previous history of breast disease (p- value = 0.001; OR= 5.454), and there was no relationship between the age factor >50 years (p-value= 0.141; OR= 0.649) with the incidence of Carcinoma Mammae at Baladhika Husada Hospital Jember in 2023, the gender factor cannot be researched due to the absence of male patients in the case of carcinoma mammae. It was concluded that the biggest risk factor was in family history (OR= 17,000). It is recommended that the hospital encourage patients to do SADARI regularly, to detect early patients who have a family history, especially in mothers/aunts, in order to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of mammary carcinoma at Baladhika Husada Hospital Jember.
