Abstract

At Camar Mandiri Primary Clinic, particularly in the Maternity and Dental departments, there is no electronic medical record system, and registration and recording are still done manually. This causes delays in the registration process because there is only one registration officer, leading to slow provision of medical records and a high demand for medical record documents. Additionally, the storage racks at Camar Mandiri Primary Clinic Jember are inadequate, causing medical record folders to protrude and get damaged. The purpose of this research is to design and develop a web-based outpatient electronic medical record system to facilitate the service process in the Maternity and Dental departments at Camar Mandiri Primary Clinic. The system design method used the waterfall method introduced by Somerville. The process in the waterfall method consisted of system flowchart, context diagram, data flow diagram, and entity relationship diagram. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The result of this research was the electronic medical record system for the Maternity and Dental departments at Camar Mandiri Primary Clinic. This system included master data consisting of user data, patient data, and diagnosis data, as well as examination menus for the Maternity and Dental departments that could generate visit reports, top 10 disease reports, and service reports for dentists/midwives, which could assist staff in the service process.
