Abstract

As technology develops, there are requests and demands for hospitals to provide fast and professional health services for medical information needs. However, at Balung Regional Hospital, especially the assembly unit, they still carried out activities manually using Microsoft Excel. The problem that occurred was that officers still manually typed the identity of the patient, doctor, room, class, and still typed by number 1 or 0 when checking incompleteness and returns. The impact of this caused the officers to take a long time to check files, so that many files were still piling up. The solution to this is to create a web-based information system for checking incomplete medical records. The research objective is to design and create a web-based system for checking incompleteness of inpatient medical records. The method used is the waterfall method which consists of the stages of needs analysis, design, coding and testing. The analysis stage is analysis of problems and needs in creating the system. The design stage produces system flowcharts, DFD, and ERD. The coding stage uses the PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework with MySQL database storage. The final stage involves system testing using black-box testing, with the results showing that the system's functionality is working well or has been successful. The features displayed are doctor data, room, class, form, patient, returns and checks, diagrams. The result of this research is a web-based medical record incompleteness checking information system that provides ease for staff in performing medical record checks and simplifies the generation of reports on the number of incomplete medical records. With this web-based checking information system, it is hope that it will make it easier for officers to check incompleteness, and it will report and inform doctors and nurses automatically if there are files that have not been filled in completely.
