Abstract

This research aims to build an expert system for diagnosing cattle diseases which will be applied to a website-based application. This expert system is expected to be able to help cattle breeders, whose cattle still find it difficult to diagnose cattle diseases and how to treat them. So in this research we want to help farmers overcome this problem by building an Expert System for Diagnosing Cattle Diseases Using the Website-Based Dempster Shafer Method. The dataset used in this research is 28 diseases and 66 symptoms. Based on the Blackbox test results, the expert system for diagnosing cattle diseases was declared to be functioning well. The conclusion was that the system was well received and suitable for use by users in diagnosing cattle diseases and obtaining information about diseases and how to treat them. In this research, the system accuracy rate was 93% with 26 trials by breeders.
