Abstract

One way to fulfill the needs of plants is nutrition. Nutrient fulfillment in soilless cultivation generally uses AB mix solution nutrition which is actually intended for vegetables or fruits. AB mix nutrition is a mixture of fertilizer A and fertilizer B which contains nutrients N, P, K that can affect plant growth. Therefore, it needs to be researched further to adjust the nutritional needs of rice plants. This study aims to determine the best ratio of AB mix and phosphate in rice plants in the soilless growing media system. This research was conducted in Sumber Jeruk Village, Kalisat District, Jember Regency. There were 8 treatment units with the first factor of AB Mix + Phosphate ratio at the level of 20:0, 20:1, 20:2, 20:3. The second factor was the rice variety including A2 red rice, black rice watu dodol. The variables observed were plant height, root length, number of tillers, stem diameter, and leaf chlorophyll content.
