Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the income of the broiler breeder and the laying duck business in UD. Jawa Meri Gumukmas District, Jember Regency as consideration in the selection of the bussines to be run. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, wich is a type of research that will describe the level of differences in income between broiler ducks and laying duck farming business on a 1000 scale with income analysis for 18 months. The type of data is quantitative data. The data source is primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in the form of observations and interviews with duck farmers at UD Jawa Meri. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results obtained in this study indicate an analysis of differences in income between the maintenance of broiler ducks and laying ducks in the UD. Jawa Meri partnership pattern occurs because of different production factors indicating that the income of broiler ducks farmer for one month is Rp. 6.447.547 and maintenance of laying ducks for one month is Rp. 7.521.556 difference of Rp. 1.074.009 greater than the maintenance of broiler ducks.
