Abstract

Soybean is one of the secondary crops that has a high economic value. There was a decrease in soybean production in Indonesia in 2021. Efforts that can be made to increase soybean production are the provision of high quality seeds. One of them is by applying manure and using superior varieties. This study aims to determine the interaction between manure and varieties on the productivity and quality of soybean seeds. The research was conducted from August to December 2023 on the land of Antirogo Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The experimental design used was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) which was replicated 3 times. The first factor was the dose of organic fertilizer consisting of 2 tons/ha (P1), 4 tons/ha (P2), and 6 tons/ha (P3). The second factor is the variety consisting of Derap 1 (V1), Dena 1 (V2) and Demas 1 (V3). Data were analyzed using ANOVA, and continued with DMRT test at 5% level if it showed significantly different effects. The results showed that the interaction of 6 tons/ha manure and Derap 1 variety (P3V1) gave a significantly different effect on the weight of seeds per plant of 31.64 grams, the weight of seeds per plot of 522.10 grams, the weight of 100 seed grains (18.55 grams), and seed production per hectare of 2088.39 kg/ha.
