Abstract
The Student Competency Competition (LKS) is an annual competition between students at vocational school level according to the areas of expertise taught to vocational school participants. SMKN 1 Tapen is a vocational high school in the city of Bondowoso, SMK Negeri 1 Tapen always sends students every year to take part in student competency competitions (LKS) at the district/city level. Due to the large number of students taking part in the competency competition selection, the selection process is less than optimal in terms of the assessment process and determining the final decision. Because of the problems above, it is necessary to design a decision support system using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method. In the AHP Method, each student will be tested for competency based on the criteria set by the person in charge of the Student Competency Competition at SMKN 1 Tapen. The final result of this method is sorting student data based on highest to lowest results, so that it is very helpful for school principals or teachers in determining students who are eligible to take part in the Student Competency Competition (LKS) to represent the SMKN 1 Tapen school.
