Abstract

Ajung Public Health Center has been using HIMS since 2017 to process patient data. Intensity of HIMS use is described by the number of patient visits from January 2022 to January 2023, totaling of 15.066 visits. Several problems were identified during the implementation. The menu did not align with user needs, the information produced was not fulfilled with user requirements, the system was not integrated with P-Care, and errors were often occured. The purpose of this research was to evaluate HIMS using PIECES method at the Ajung Public Health Center. The type of research used was qualitative, with data collection techniques such as interview, observation, documentation and brainstorming. The research subjects included two registration officers, one emergency room nurse, two inpatient nurses, HIS officer, head of administration, head of the public health center, and HIS health departement officer. The research results showed information based on performance aspect, HIMS performance in producing output was not optimal and the menus were not complete, the information aspect of HIMS did not provide accurate information and the information produced was not relevant with user needs, the economic aspect of HIMS was not integrated with P-Care, the control aspect of HIMS had a lower level of security, the efficiency aspect of HIMS was not have a guidebook in the implementation and errors system was difficult to correct, the service aspect of HIMS was not fully support the work process. Alternative solution to the problem by making improvements and developing HIMS. Researchers provide suggestions for regular monitoring and evaluation of SIMPUS.
