Abstract
This research aims to determine the receipt of non-cash food assistance (BPNT) in Taman Bondowoso Village using the K-Nearest Neighbor KNN method. Social assistance (Bansos) is a program from the government which is intended for lower middle class families. However, the problem that occurs is that it is not well targeted in selecting aid recipients. So in this research we want to help officers cope with this environment by building a classification of recipients of BPNT assistance using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method. The dataset used in this research is 334 data, with a dataset division ratio of training and testing data, namely 80: 20 achieved 96.77% accuracy. However, this research cannot be an effective solution in overcoming the problem of determining potential recipients of aid due to a mismatch between the data and the model because this model produces inaccurate prediction results for potential recipients. A suitable model should be used, namely a decision support system using the AHP, SAW, Topsis methods. , SMART and so on.
