Abstract

This study examines the mapping of crime-prone areas in Lumajang district using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. The data analysis used includes types of crime cases such as Curanmor (motor vehicle theft), Curat (aggravated theft), Curas (violent theft), and Curhew (animal theft) from 2021-2023, with a focus on specific sub-districts. The clustering results show that some sub-districts are included in the high crime level (C1), while other sub-districts are included in the low (C2) or medium (C3) level. This research successfully developed a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS), which visualizes areas with different crime rates through colors on the map (red for high crime, yellow for medium crime, green for low crime). This information is important to help the community be more vigilant and enable the police to anticipate crime more effectively.
