Abstract
Nowadays, the competition in the industrial world is getting tougher, especially in the food or beverage industry. UD Tiga Bintang is one of the industries which engaged in the process of making raw ubar abir crackers that is located in Ajung District. The increasing fierce of competition in that area requires the company to be able for providing the best and satisfying products to the consumers. However, in fact the UD Tiga Bintang company still produces many defective cracker products such as thick crackers, broken crackers, and the dirty surfaces. Therefore, it is necessary to take steps to adjust the quality of cracker products that is produced by UD. Tiga Bintang. This study aims to implement the quality control of ubar-abir cracker products at UD. Tiga Bintang by using the SPC (Statistical Process Control) method. The study was conducted during 20 observations which began on December 5, 2019 until December 27, 2019 with the total sample of 400 crackers. The result on the diagram of cause and effect of product defects is influenced by the methods, the environment, human and tools,, on pareto diagrams the types of deficiency that often occur in UD. Tiga Bintang is the cracker cleanliness variable with the type of dirty crackers surface defect, based on the np control map it can be discovered that there are no points are outside the control limits and for the process capability index (Cp) of the ubarabir crackers value on the thickness variable is 98%, the wholeness variable is 96% and the variable cleanliness is 95%, which means that for the ability process of the UD . Tiga Bintang in producing the products is suitable with the specifications.
